Modeā is one of the most exciting names to emerge from Ireland’s electronic scene in recent years. Born and raised in Donegal, the producer and DJ has built a sound that blends raw energy, melody and emotion, with a focus on creating music that connects just as strongly in a club as it does outside of one.

His relationship with electronic music started early. Inspired by his parents’ love of the genre, Modeā began exploring music from the age of seven and quickly became drawn to the feeling behind it. That connection to emotion still sits at the centre of everything he makes today.

His breakthrough came in 2022 with Shine, released on We Are The Brave. The track picked up support from Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer and Joseph Capriati, alongside repeated BBC Radio 1 plays from Pete Tong and Sarah Story. It was a turning point that introduced his sound to a much wider audience and helped push the project onto an international level.

Since then, Modeā has continued to develop his sound with releases including Ready To Fly and Part of Me. Both tracks showed a more melodic side to his production while keeping the weight and energy that had already become a key part of his identity.

Modeā has never been interested in being tied to one genre. His influences come from across electronic music, and that freedom is reflected in both his productions and his DJ sets. His sets move naturally between different sounds, with the focus always on energy, emotion and creating moments people remember.

That approach has helped him build a strong identity of his own. There is a clear sense of progression in everything he releases, but the core of the project remains the same: powerful music, strong emotion and a connection with the dancefloor.

As Modeā moves through 2026, the focus is firmly on continuing that progression. With his audience growing internationally and his sound becoming more defined with every release, he is establishing himself as part of a new generation of Irish electronic artists making an impact far beyond home.
